This Refund and Returns Policy applies to all users of Fikarix (www.fikarix.com), including freelancers and clients. By using our platform, you agree to the terms outlined below.
1. General Policy
Fikarix operates as an online marketplace connecting businesses with freelancers. Refund eligibility depends on project status, service type, and compliance with our dispute resolution process.
Under Indian law, service-based transactions (such as freelance work) do not fall under traditional return policies applicable to physical goods. However, we offer fair dispute resolution and refunds in specific cases.
2. Eligibility for Refunds
Refund requests may be considered under the following conditions:
For Clients (Hiring Businesses)
✅ If the freelancer fails to deliver work as per the agreed terms.
✅ If the delivered work does not match the agreed scope despite multiple revision requests.
✅ If the freelancer fails to respond within a reasonable time (7+ days).
✅ If the freelancer cancels the project after payment.
Refunds are NOT applicable if:
❌ The client is dissatisfied due to personal preferences rather than agreed-upon deliverables.
❌ The work was fully or partially used by the client.
❌ The project was marked completed and approved by the client.
For Freelancers
✅ If the client fails to make payment after project completion.
✅ If the client requests excessive revisions beyond the agreed scope.
✅ If the client misuses the refund policy to get free work.
Refunds are NOT applicable if:
❌ The freelancer delivers incomplete or poor-quality work.
❌ The freelancer violates Fikarix policies or Indian contract laws.
3. Secure Payments & Escrow Protection
To ensure fair transactions, Fikarix uses an escrow-based payment system:
1️⃣ Clients deposit funds into escrow before the project begins.
2️⃣ Freelancers receive payment only after client approval.
3️⃣ If a dispute arises, Fikarix holds the funds until resolved.
4. Refund Process & Timeline
- Refund requests must be made within 30 days of payment.
- The Fikarix team will review each case within 7 business days.
- If approved, refunds will be processed within 5-10 business days via the original payment method.
5. Dispute Resolution Process
If a client and freelancer disagree, disputes are handled as follows:
🔹 Step 1: Attempt to resolve the issue via private communication.
🔹 Step 2: If unresolved, submit a dispute request via Fikarix Support (contact@fikarix.com).
🔹 Step 3: Our team will review project details, messages, and work submissions.
🔹 Step 4: A decision will be made based on Fikarix policies, Indian laws, and fair usage.
🚨 Legal Note (India-Specific):
As per the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, digital service providers must offer transparent policies but are not obligated to provide refunds for services if the agreement terms are met.
6. No Refunds on Certain Services
Some transactions are final and non-refundable, including:
❌ Completed and approved projects.
❌ Hourly-based work where time was logged.
❌ Digital products like templates, software, and courses.
❌ Services that were partially or fully delivered.
7. Cancellation Policy
For Clients:
✔ A project can be canceled before work starts, and a full refund will be issued.
✔ If work has begun, a partial refund may be granted.
For Freelancers:
✔ Freelancers can cancel a project before accepting a payment.
✔ Repeated cancellations may affect freelancer ratings.
8. Late or Missing Refunds
If you haven’t received a refund yet:
✅ Check your bank account.
✅ Contact your credit card provider (processing delays may apply).
✅ Reach out to your bank, as some payments take longer to process.
✅ If you still haven’t received your refund, email contact@fikarix.com.
9. Fraud & Abuse Protection
🚨 To prevent fraud, Fikarix reserves the right to block or suspend accounts attempting to misuse refunds.
🚨 Suspicious transactions will be investigated under IT Act, 2000 & Indian cybercrime laws.
